Abstract

Academic writing is on of English specific purpose. It needs some elements that scientifically influence its quality. One ofhighly parts which should be seriously paid attention is abstract. Abstract provides the general description of scientific writing's content. Nevertheless, it is not an easy thing for same scientific researcher.

The problem the researcher had outlined in this research largely with the study of pronunciation error in speaking. The primary goals of this research, furthermore, was to figure out common mistake which are pronunciation done in speaking English when they are conversation in SMA PGRI I PUNGGUR. A qualitative descriptive was used to approach the data. The researcher took 36 students a sample. The data were collected by observation and documentation. Miles and Huberman model was used to analyze the data.

Regarding to the process of the researching, the researcher firstly, carried out the pre-survey to collect the sample from 36 students' eleventh graders of SMA PGRI I PUNGGUR. Then, the researcher observed them by finding some mistake. The errors classifying into many points, pronunciation, fluency, accuracy and performance. There was some result these point is Pronunciation 53%, Fluency 22%, Accuracy I5%, and performance 10%.

In conclusion of pronunciation in the speaking on students of SMA PGRI 1 PUNGGUR there are still many mistake, and those mistakes commonly covered pronunciation, fluency, accuracy and performance.
