Abstract

The objective of this research was to know there is a positive and significant influence of iSpring Program on descriptive writing skill at the tenth-grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Metro during the 2022–2023 academic year.

The research is a quantitative research. The sample determination in this research used cluster purposive sampling technique and the sample of the research was 42 students which consisted of two classes. The data collecting methods used test and documentation. The formula used to analyze the data is the Mann-whitney test to prove the hypothesis. It can be seen that the pre-test results in the experimental class with an average score of 62,26 and the control class 70. After carrying out the pre-test, treatment was carried out in the experimental class and then the post-test results for the experimental class got an average score of 86,64 and control class 73,8.

Results from the Mann-whitney test obtained an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0,000 which is less than 0,05, indicating a discernible difference in student learning outcomes. Consequently, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, signifying a positive impact.
