Abstract
The purpose of this study is to show the students’ accuracy in translating non-finite among the fifth semester at IAIN Metro. This is based on the identification of problems that explains that students have a low desire to learn English.This study uses descriptive qualitative analysis and analysis document to answer the research questions. The data in this study were from 9 Sentence of translation non-finite that containing accuracy by students. In collecting data, the author uses observation, documentation, and interview. This research was conducted with an English teacher class B in Englis Education at IAIN Metro Metro named the teacher is Trifita Handayani.
Finally after the data was examined it can be concluded that students have made several types of accuracy when translation non-finite. Theanalysis showed accuracy in translating non finite that are gerund 46,25 %, infinitive 32,35 %, and participalthe 21,40 %. The barriers of translating non-finite that are by using infinitive and participle at the sentence.
