Abstract

The primary goal of this research is to knowwhether the use of PairedReading Techniquecan increasethe students‟ reading comprehensionin Recount Text. The method used in this research is known as Classroom Action Research (CAR). The data were collected by documentation, observation, field note, interview, and test. The researcher chose class XI cas the subject in this research.

Based on the data that thereis significant increasingon the students‟ reading comprehension. It is proofed on the students‟ average score in pre-test and post-test 1 wasfrom 56,25 to 67,91or improved 11,66 while in post-test 1 and post-test 2 was from 67,91to 77,08 or improved 9,17.It means that the use of PairedReading Techniquecan increasethe students‟ reading comprehensionin Recount Textat eleventhclass of MAWalisongo Sukajadi Bumi Ratu Nuban,LampungTengah.It can be seen that, the conclusion of this research is PairedReading Techniquecan increasethe students‟ reading comprehensionat eleventhclass of MAWalisongo Sukajadi Bumi Ratu Nuban, LampungTengah especially students‟ interest in reading learning.
