Abstract

The nature of Nation Character Development is a systemic collective effort of a nation state to realize the life of nation and state in accordance with the basis and ideology, constitution, state direction, and collective potential in the context of a national, regional and global life that is civilized to form a resilient nation. competitive, noble, moral, politicized, collaborative, patriotic, dynamic, cultured, and oriented towards science and technology based on Pancasila and imbued with faith and piety to God Almighty. Thedevelopment of national character is carried out coherently through the process of socialization, education and learning, civilization, and cooperation of all components of the nation and state.

This study aims to determine the Implementation of the National Pillars in the Formation of Santri Character at Darul ‘Ulum Islamic Boarding School in Sekampung District, East Lampung Regency.

This research was conducted using a qualitative field research approach carried out at the Darul ‘Ulum Islamic Boarding School in Sekampung sub-district. Data collection is done by using interviews, observation and documentation. data analysis in this study by means of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusing drawing / verification. Testing the validity of the data obtained in this study by means of triangulation of sources, member checks and increasing persistence / regularity of observations.

The results showed that the implementation of the four pillars of nationality in forming the character of santri can be done using learning steps, among others, 1) Implementation of the consistency of Pancasila values in boarding schools through the planting of values of our students by providing learning lessons about tauhidtan, interpretation studies interpretation of the verse al quran. 2) Implementation of the value of the 1945 Constitution teaching to santri to comply with the regulations made by Islamic boarding schools. 3) Implementation of the contents of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia through the love education of the country through organizational activities in which there is an understanding of the love of the homeland. 4) Implementation of the values of Bhinneka Tungga Ika values through ways of not discriminating between santri.Thus in the process of character building through the four pillars of nationality it can be realized through religious activities, order activities and learning activities.
