Abstract

The objective of this study was to know, what is difficulties faced by the students in students writing difficulties at school using the Contextual Teaching and Learning method. In this study the researchers formulated the following problems: what are students difficulties found in writing on using contextual teaching and learning method that made by YouTube, why do the students have the difficulties in writing skills on using contextual teaching and learning method that made by youTube?

This research is a qualitative research. Researchers use descriptive research that use descriptions and explanations of the research data. The subjects of this study were some of the students on YouTube. The data of this research are the students' ability in writing. This research data is obtained from the results of analyzing YouTube videos.

The findings of this study were to determine the difficulties faced by students in writing using the contextual teaching and learning method on YouTube videos. It can be concluded that in the Youtube video there are six categories of difficulties in writing and the difficulties faced by students in writing using the Contextual Teaching and Learning method are the lack of ideas and vocabulary. The application of contextual Teaching and Learning methods in writing students is to invite students to be active in writing by developing the ideas they get in everyday life. From the conclusion of this study, the authors suggest that teachers can use learning strategies in the classroom by reducing the difficulties faced by students in learning English.
