Abstract

Research is result purposed to increase count ability with application through the use of audio-visual media. If instruction to arithmatic use of audio-visual media with precise principles, so can increase count ability of student class 2st at Primary School 1 Metro Barat. The method used in this research was action research who developed by Kemmis and Taggart. Action taken in this research consisted oft wocycles; the first cycle consists of eight treatments and the second cycles consists of seven treatments. For each cycles on sisting of planning, action, observing, and reflection. Analysis of the data used in this research is done with quantitative and qualitative approaches. Analysis of quantitative data obtained based on increasing count ability children from pre-intervention to the second cycles. Ability count of student at pre-action is 40.91%, cycle of one is 72.73%, and cycle of two is 86.36%. This exceeds the aggrement between researches and collaborators by 71%. Based on the percentage improvement obtained the action hypothesis accepted. Qaualitative data anlysys is used based on the model analysis Miles and Huberman by steps: (1)data reduction, (2) display the data, and (3) conclusion drawing/verification by observation, interview, and documentation throughout the study. The result showed that the lesson through the use of audio visual media to improve learning outcomes math on aspects of count ability of students.
