Abstract

Learning skills related to the fine motor skills of students at SDN 8 Metro Timur in the early grades has not gone as expected, the media used is still less varied and tends to be monotonous. The subjects of this study were 14 students at SDN 8 Metro Timur. This type of research is classroom action research, by applying 2 learning cycles. Collecting data using the method of observation and documentation. The results of this discussion are 1) The implementation of activities using the 3M technique (folding, cutting, and pasting) at SDN 8 Metro Timur for 6 meetings using materials in the form of folding paper, scissors, glue, pictures and HVS paper. 2) The improvement of fine motor skills through the 3M technique at SDN 8 Metro Timur are: the fine motor skills of children before the 3M research was still low at 21.42%, after the Action Research it was proven that there was an increase from pre-cycle to cycle I reaching 28.57% and the total increase reached 57.15%. From the observations made in the pre-action, cycle I, and cycle II, there were no children who were included in the bad criteria.
