Abstract

The limited time in learning at school and the use of unattractive teaching materials such as textbooks and Student Worksheets (LKS) have caused Biology learning, especially virus material, to be less than optimal. Students prefer teaching materials that contain text, images, videos, practice questions, and are technology-based and practical. So that innovation is needed in the use of interesting and practical teaching materials to support student learning both at school and at home. The purpose of this study is to develop blog-based teaching materials and determine the feasibility of these teaching materials.
This type of research is Research & Development (R&D) using the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. Data collection techniques were carried out by conducting interviews and submitting questionnaires. The questionnaire was addressed to validators of material experts, media experts, and teacher and student practitioners.
The results of validation by material experts on blog-based teaching materials obtained a percentage of 86% with the "Very Eligible" criteria. The results of media expert validation obtained a percentage of 92.5% with the criteria "Very Eligible". The results of the practitioner validation by the teacher obtained a percentage of 91% with the "Very Eligible" criteria. While the results of the validation of practitioners by a small group of students obtained a percentage of 90.5% with the "Very Eligible" criteria. Based on the validation of material experts, media experts and practitioners, an average percentage of 90% was obtained with the "Very Eligible" criteria.
