Abstract
This research has aim to investigate the student problem, the farctor, andthe solution in pronuncing fricative consonant among eleventh grade of SMAN 1 Kibang East lampung the researcher conduct this research base on the students phenomena.
The method of this research is qualitative research method. The Primary source this research are original materials on which research is based. They are testimony or direct evidence concerning a topic under consideration. The tecniques of collecting the data observation, documentation, interview and field note.
The result of this research are that, based on all of explanation above, it can be concluded that the students‟ greatest problem student in pronuncing fricative consonants lies in the problem in pronuncing fricative consonants [f] and [v]. The seventh dominant factor that causes the students‟ problem in pronuncing fricative consonant is the substitution of [ʃ] and [z] with 57%.Based on the analysis result of theory and interview result, it is interpreted that the students should learn more and practice the fricative consonant regularly
