Abstract
The objective of this research is to know whether the gamecan increase the vocabulary mastery in teaching learning process. The subjectof this research was 28students among theseventhgrade atMTs. Raudhlatul Jannah Natar in the Academic Year of 2018/2019. This research was done in two cycles. Each cycles is done in five meetings. Each cycle is consist of planning, action, observation, andreflection.
The kind of this research is classroom action research (CAR) which was conducted intwocycles. Each cycle consist of planing, acting, observing and reflecting. Object of this research is the students’ vocabulary mastery.In collecting data, the writer uses test, that are pre-test and post-test,documentation, and observation. The purposes of pre-test and post-test are to know the students vocabulary mastery before and being given the treatment.
The result in cycle I showed that the average percentage of active students 64.28% and in the cycle 2 is 85.71%. The average of pre-test and post-test II show that there is an increase from pre-test and post-testII. The average of post-test II is higher than pre-test. The average pre-test is 51 and thepost-testIIis 82. So there is progress 30points. It is clear that based on the result pre test and post-test, it can be said that gamehas positive increase in learning vocabulary.
