Abstract

Translating the text or sentence but do not know the meaning, it leads to misunderstanding what the purpose is. Based on the experience of the researcher, students have low performance to translate the sentences from English to Indonesian. It makes them difficult when do the tasks. Therefore, verb is very important for the students to translating in English to Indonesian. Based on the explanation above, the researcher would like to know whether there is correlation between translating mastery and their translation error of pamphlets. The objectives of this research were to know the translation error in translating pamphlets of student in English program .

This research was conducted based on qualitative method. It means that theresearcher analyzed the data which were taken from the translation error in translating pamphlet, The research will be conducted based on qualitative research. Qualitative method explains above the reduction to a parsimonious set of variables, tightly controlled through description analysis, and provides measures or observations for testing a theory The researcher uses the documentation method to get detail information about the English achievement of students student error in translation pamphlet form of English program in STAIN Jurai Siwo Metro

The conclusion of the research result of data analysis is The result of the tranlation error in in usual pamphlet in avarage is 32 % in scoring or in 68, % was sucses in translate of the announcenet in structure or in meaning, so in this case there isnot dificulties problem in translation in pamphlet form or average of students were able to translate in indonesian language correctly It mean that the result of the score translation error wasnot hight because many student were able to translate in good form or correct translation in pamphlet form, it can be concluded that the is no great problem in tranlating. The result of the tranlation error in From data above we know that average the student translation error in pamphlet is in stucture form, composition statement, and also in style of translation almost student tranlate by using text to text it meant some time difficult to understand tha translation of student from the original language to english languge and getting error in translation pamphJet
