We use English to communicate with people’s foreign language becauseEnglish is international language so we should be able to communicate in English andwe must learn to have a good performance in English speaking. The success ofEnglish learning was usually seen from learners’ ability to communicate with thenative speaker of English or people who speak English in daily life. There were fourmain skills that must be mastered to be able communicate well in English. Thosewere listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

The students’ speaking difficulties could be caused by inside and outsidefactors. The outside factor was related to the teacher such as teaching method inlearning. Meanwhile, the inside factors such asthe students havepronunciation error,they have lack of vocabulary, they have lack of motivation to speak English, theyhave lack of self-confidence to speak English, and they think that English is hard tobe learned. Therefore, the writer analyze the pronunciation error in their speaking.The objectives of this research are to know the pronunciation error on the studentsand to know the students English speaking ability.

Qualitative research is tradition in social science which fundamental, the datacollection from subject research in areas themselves and their interaction with otherpeople. There are consist of four steps in qualitative analysis, they are: datacollection, data reduction, data display and conclusion. The subject of this research isthe ninth graders of MTs Al Asror Sumbersari. The writer used observation,interview, and documentation to collecting data. While, to analyzethe data the writerused record of students speaking.

The analysіs shοwed that there were 4s shοwed that there were 4wed that there were 4dοwed that there were 4minant errors out of 8 Englishvowels errοwed that there were 4rs during the test was going on. They are vowel [ᴧ] 53,33%, [ᴐ:] 73,33%, ] 53,33%, [ᴧ] 53,33%, [ᴐ:] 73,33%, :] 73,33%,ᴧ] 53,33%, [ᴐ:] 73,33%,ᴐ:] 73,33%,[ᴧ] 53,33%, [ᴐ:] 73,33%,i:] 60%, and [ᴧ] 53,33%, [ᴐ:] 73,33%,ei] 50%. The writer suggest that the students must be active in learningprocess especially English subject.
