Abstract

There are some ffactor that cause the students feel hard to learn writing. They are the material is relatively difficult and they have less motivation in writing learning. Besides that, the learning strategy and the teaching methods which are not various. The other factor, that the techniques of learning writing still less attention. In this case, the teachers needs a good technique for increase and improve and how far the students' writing descriptive paragraph. One of the techniques that used in learning writing descriptive paragraph is cooperative learning.

Cooperative learning is working with a group that consists of two or more students write the composition, poem, article, etc. In cooperative, the students are allowed to learn each other, develop the potential and they can share their ideas and knowledge. Cooperative learning was helped the students in writing. And cooperative learning can develop students' writing descriptive paragraph.

The objectives of this research are to know whether there is positive and significant influence on the implementation of cooperative learning toward writing descriptive paragraph. This research is experiment quantitative research and collects the data the writer used test. To prove whether there is any positive and significant influence on the implementation of cooperative learning toward writing descriptive paragraph, the writer analyzed data by using t-test formula that enable to investigate the differences between the experimental class which used cooperative learning technique. And the control class which without used cooperative learning technique. This research conducted at the Vocational High School 2 Ganesa Sekampung. The population in this research was the students at the eleventh grade. The sample of this research was class XI Accounting I that consist of 40 students and class XI Accounting II that consist of 40 students.

The result of the study shows that tbserve= 8.I and t.a = 1.995 in df 5% and 2.649 in df 1% and 3.438 in df 0.1%. It means that tbservoe is higher than tee It can be inferred that hypothesis is accepted. It proved that there is a positive and significant influence on the implementation of cooperative learning toward writing descriptive paragraph at the eleventh grade students at the Vocational High School 2 Ganesa Sekampung.
