Abstract

Listening is one of the important ways to improve general language comprehension in English. It takes on a very significant role in teaching English as a forcign language. By listening, students can get the information and expand the knowledge. The aim of this research is to implement the interactive audio and analyze its influence in the students'ability in comprehending listening among the tenth graders of MA Terpadu Daar Al Hikmah Utama laya

This research is quantitative research which had been conducted in MA Terpadu Daar Al Hikmah Utama Jaya at the class X and the sample of this research is 27 students. The technique sampling is total sampling. In collecting the data, the writer uses test, that are pre-test and post-test, documentation, observation, and questionaire. The purposes of pre-test and post-test are to know the students listening skill before and being given the treatment. The analysis which used by the writer is t-test and chi-square.

The findings result showed that there is an increase score from pre test to post test. The average of pre test is 53.461 and the post test 70.556 and indicates observe 8.487 is higher than t ae = 1.699. Therefore, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. It means that the interactive audio influences the students' listening skill at the tenth graders of MA Terpadu Daar AI Hikmah Utama Jaya in academic year 2014/2015.
