Abstract

The purpose of this research to know whether there is any positive and significan effect Movie Subtitle with vocabulary Mastery in Senior High School 1 Punggur academic year 2021/2022. This research is quantitative research conducted at the tenth grade of Senior High School 1 Punggur that involves of 32 students as the samples. This research was using two types of variable, variable independent and dependent. Independen variable is Movie Subtitle and dependent variable is vocabulary mastery. The technique sampling used Random sampling technique.

The research instruments used in this study were multiple choice. To determine the effect of using movie subtitle in learning. Researchers used pre-test and post-test questions to conduct research. The pre-test questions were given before the research and the pre-test questions were given after doing the research.

The data of this research was analyzed by using pre-test and post-test result. the data confirmed that “tobserved”= 3,839 was higher than “ttable“ level level of significant 5% = 0,300 and level of significant 1% = 0,186. therefore, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho rejected. It means There is a positive and significant the effect of “using Movie Subtitle on the students vocabulary mastery of the tenth grade of Senior High School 1 Punggur”.
