Abstract

This final project discusses the analysis of phrase linker difficulties in document writing among students majoring in English at iain metro. The purpose of this study was to analyze common and rarely used phrase linkers by fifth semester students, as well as to find out what the fifth semester students' difficulties were in doing phrase linkers in document writing. This research method is qualitative research. The research subjects were fifth semester students of the English Department of IAIN Metro. In collecting data, researchers used observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that there were results from the final project (UAS) entitled the benefits of online business. Of the two sub-groups, namely intralingual errors and choosing comparative connecting phrases, there is one sub-group that is used by fifth semester students. intralingual errors reached 74%. And 26% are choosing comparative conjunctions.
