Abstract

Learning Result are things that can be seen from two sides, from the side of students and from the side of the teacher. Learning outcomes are expected to be achieved, it is necessary to plan and a good teaching program, besides that it is necessary to pay attention to the factors that influence it. The factors that influence the learning outcomes achieved by a person are the result of the interaction of various factors that influence it both within (internally) and from outside (externally) the individual. The question in this research is “Is there any influence between Economic Background on the learning outcomes of 11th grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Metro?” The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence the Economic Background had on the learning outcomes of 11Th graders students of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Metro.

This type of research is quantitative data. Data collection techniques in this study are questionnaires and documentation. The questionnaire method in this study is the main method that the author uses to determine the economic background of students' parents. While the documentation method in this study was used to obtain information and data such as school profiles, school history at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Metro and student data at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Metro. The data analysis technique that the author uses is statistical analysis. The formula that will be used to analyze the data in this research is the Product Moment formula.

After the data is analyzed, it is known that the data analysis that has been carried out using the product moment formula is obtained with the r-count value when compared to the r-table, which is larger, namely r-count = 0.796, which is greater than the r-table, which increases at a significant level of 5% 1% means that the hypothesis that the author proposes in this research reads that there is a strong/high relationship between Parental Economic Background and Learning Outcomes of English Subjects for 11th grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Metro 2021/2022.
