Abstract

This is an absolute inevitability that each individual is blessed with different potential in him. Arabic is an international language that is needed in the context of the global arena, therefore the urgency of learning Arabic is not only felt by Muslims but also by everyone who lives in the global current. The application of learning Arabic through interest is an endeavor in increasing Arabic language competence by maximizing children's potential. The application of interest-based learning will increase children's activity and creativity. Children who have hobbies and interests towards a particular object will arouse motivation and increase their curiosity about a subject. Meanwhile, motivation and great curiosity will have positive impact on learning activities in one subject. Interest-based Arabic learning will become an urgent matter when the achievement of the process of maximum learning activities is one of the desired goals.
