Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the descriptive text in the film Aladin, was completed using a qualitative descriptive method. The research sample in this study was class VII students of MTs Al-falahiyah Batanghari, East Lampung.
The main objective of this research is to find out whether Aladin
descriptive text film affects students' writing skills at MTs Al-Falahiyah Batanghari, East Lampung. This research was conducted on basic problems in students' weak writing skills that researchers got in the pre-survey process. It is hoped that through this skill students' writing skills will be better. The population of this research is class VII students. The sample of this research was 15 students of class VII MTs Al-Falahiyah Batanghari, East Lampung. In collecting data, researchers used tests (pre-test and post-test), observation and documentation.
Therefore, it means that there is a positive and significant effect of Aladdin descriptive film text on students' writing skills.
In conclusion, descriptive text must be learned and understood by students in learning writing skills. To improve the ability to write descriptive texts, students need to read a lot so that the topics discussed and the vocabulary used are more diverse.
