Abstract
Teaching learning process in a grade of VIII B were the students feel that learn English especially grammar very difficult. They planned learning English was not interesting to learn. So that the teacher had obligation to make the learning process more interesting. Based on the statement the teacher should choose the media. One of media that can use in teaching grammar was acoustics songs. It means that they not too interest to study English. Through Acoustics songs they can enjoyed English subject. The purpose of this research was to increase the students' grammar comprehension. Then, the students were expected to understand the rule in English sentences. Especially, sentences in lyrics of songs. In this research, the researcher used CAR in a class to solve the problem. CAR consisted of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. In this research consisted of two cycles. Every cycle consisted of three meetings. Then in every meeting consist of three steps. There is pre grammar activity, while activity, and post activity. In line with this, in this research the researcher implemented Acoustics songs to teach grammar in grade of VIII B of SMP N 10 Metro. In collecting data the researcher uses test, observation and documentation. The research conducts through collaborative with an English teacher of SMPN 10 Metro. The result of the test shows that there is any increasing from pre-test and post-test. In the first cycle the average score of pre-test is 50.72 becomes 53.58 in post-test. At the first cycle the learning target has not been achieved because the students who get score more than 70 only 11 of 36 students. It means that the learning target has not achieved because the students score only 30.55 % and the target should achieve 70 %. At the second cycle there is any significant increasing from the result of pre-test which increase from 70.02 becomes 80 in post-test. In this cycle the learning target has been achieved that is 100 % students get score more than 70.
