Abstract
The Learning of English Language Implementation Tends to classic/traditional pattern, teachers prefer using learning based only main purpose, without any development or effort to establish cooperation among students in solving learning problem. To achieve the ideal learning goal, there must be effort to solve the problems above. Collaborative learning is a method that made students to be active learners. The students work together to solve a problem and complete a task. The term collaborative learning refers to an instruction method in which students at various performance levels work together in small groups toward a common goal. The students are responsible for one another's learning as well as their own. Thus, the success of one student helps other students to be successful. The research reported the implementation of collaborative learning method to increase english learning result. Collaborative learning applied to increase student's English score. The research used classrom action research consist of two cycles.Each cycle was done in two meetings. Subject of this research was eigtht grade of MTS Jami'atul Ummah Central Lampung. Writing test, observation sheet, and field note and documentation were employed to collect the data. Firstly, the researcher gave pre-test before gave treatment. The purpose of pretest and post-test were to know how far the student's have mastered the english material before and after given treatment. The result showed that there was improvement student's score in every cycle. The average of pre-test just 47.1, the average of post test cycle I 67.1 and the average of post test cycle II 77.1. While the result score of student's observation sheet on cycle I 59% and on cycle II 72.4%. It mean that the implementation of collaborative learning method can increase the students' learning result at eighth grade of MTS Jami'atul Ummah Central Lampung in Academic Year 2012/2013
