Abstract

Improving reading comprehension should be supported by mastering vocabulary. By having vocabulary mastery, the students can be good especially in understanding the text. biside word walls media can help student memorieze the vocabulary because thay can see and use it every time they need in learning process especially in reading The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence of using word wall media towards students reading comprehension at sevent greders of MTs Miftahul Ulum Baradatu Way Kanan Lampung in academic year of 2012/2013. The population of the research was the seventh graders students and the sample of the research was 29 students. The kind of research is quantitative, conducted quasi experimental design, the data was analyzed by using t-test and docomentation. The result of the research can be analized as follow: pre-test: 50.31 dan post-test: 80.17 which increased: 29.86. The data was analized and proved by using T-observasi: 3,158 dan T-table: 2,157 In conclution, that there is a significant influence on the use of word walls media towards student reading comprehension at the sevent greders of MTs Miftahul Ulum Baradatu Way Kanan Lampung.
