Abstract

Inclusive elections are an effort to ensure that every citizen, including people with disabilities, can participate actively in the democratic process. This research aims to analyze the strategies implemented by the General Election Commission (KPU) of Tulang Bawang Regency in realizing inclusive elections in 2024. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection through in-depth interviews, observation and document study. The research results show that the Tulang Bawang KPU adopted various strategies, such as ensuring that people with disabilities are registered on the Permanent Voter List (DPT), special facilities at polling stations (TPS), as well as intensive outreach involving the disabled community. Apart from that, challenges such as budget limitations and low public awareness about the importance of inclusion are also obstacles faced. This research concludes that successful inclusive elections require collaboration between government, society and other stakeholders. The implication of this research is the importance of strengthening regulations and inclusion programs in the implementation of future elections.
