Abstract

Tahfidzul al-Qur'an learning has the main objective of increasing students memorization of al-Qur'an and maintaining memorization through muroja'ah activities. At the Muhammadiyah At-Tanwir Islamic Boarding School has a superior program, namely Tahfidzul Al-Qur'an learning, where all students in this Islamic boarding school are required to take part in learning to memorize the Al-Qur'an. The conditions of students at the boarding school are diverse and have different memorization abilities, some can memorize the Qur'an quickly, some memorize by taking a very long time, besides that there are still some students who are less motivated in memorizing the Qur'an, this is because there are still some students who are not fluent in reading the Qur'an. resulting in the level of memorization and consistency of muroja'ah of students in memorizing the Qur'an being less than optimal.

The purpose of this research is: 1) To find out the implementation of tahfidzul Qur'an learning at Muhammadiyah At-Tanwir Islamic Boarding School. 2) To find out the level of memorization and consistency of muroja'ah of students in memorizing the Qur'an at the Muhammadiyah At-Tanwir Islamic Boarding School. 3) to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors in increasing the memorization of the Qur'an and the consistency of muroja'ah.

This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Descriptive research is data collected in the form of words, pictures, and not numbers. This research aims to describe a phenomenon or situation under study as it is and can describe the facts of the event systematically and accurately. Furthermore, this type of research is field research, namely research conducted in a place chosen as the location and object of research, this research was conducted at the Muhammadiyah At-Tanwir Islamic Boarding School.

The results of this study indicate that the memorization and consistency of murojoa'ah of students can be improved by learning Tahfidzul al-Qur'an by helping students read the Qur'an well, using appropriate learning methods, evaluating learning activities, and building good communication with students. Always give direct motivation about the virtues of reading and memorizing the Qur'an and how it affects oneself. An individual approach that the teacher provides, by finding solutions together regarding difficulties in memorizing the Qur'an, is one way to improve students' memorization and consistency of muroja'ah. Factors that influence the level of memorization of students are support from parents, consistency, learning methods provided, student interest and discipline.
