Abstract

The cooperative learning is learning strategy the student as the member of small group which their different ability. The learning cooperative not only study in the group but the small group formed in order to learning cooperative can help the students through cooperative with the member of group

The objective of the research is to finding out the influence of using jigsaw type cooperative learning toward simple present tense mastery among the fifth grades of SDIT Wahdatul Ummah Metro

The researcher conducted in the fifth grades of SDIT Wahdatul Ummah Metro that consists of 30 students. The research is quantitative, to collect the data the writer use documentation, also using pre test and posttest method. The writer used the fill the blank test are to measure the simple present tense mastery. And then to know how far the influence of jigsaw cooperative learning in posttest the writer use fill blank test with same question. To consider whether there is positive and significant influence of using jigsaw type cooperative learning toward simple present tense mastery among the fifth grades of SDIT Wahdatul Ummah Metro. The writer analyzes the data by using t test.

1 observed = 11.722
1 table = 2.045 or 2.756
After consider the t test by using df 29 it can be found that:
The critical of t test (t table) for 5% level is 2.045
The critical of t test (t table) for 1% level is 2.756

Finally, the data confirm that "t observed" is higher than "t table". Therefore, it can be inferred that Hi is accepted. It means there is a positive and significant influence of using jigsaw type cooperative learning toward simple present tense mastery among the fifth grades of SDIT Wahdatul Ummah Metro academic year 2010/2011.
