Abstract
Language is a very important in daily human life. English is one of the languages in the world. Indonesia is one of the countries that determines English as a foreign language. Pronunciation is one of the most important parts of English to communicate with others since there are differences between the symbol and its sounds. The students often find problem with pronunciation when they speak, read, or listen to English words. It might be caused by some factors. There are two kinds of factors, which affect someone in learning English, internal factors come from the learners themselves, such as motivation, interest, aptitude, and inteJligence, while external factors come from outside of the learners, such as the situation and condition of the environment, and learning materials.
The objective of the research is to know whether English song can improve students' pronounciation performance at the nineth graders of MTs.Roudhlotu Tholibin Guppi 3 Astomulyo Punggur. This Classroom Action research was done in two cycle. Each cycle consist of two meeting in eighth minutes for each meeting. This research consist of four step, they are planning, acting, observing, and reflecting.
In this research, the researcher used data collecting method such as test, observation, and documentation. After the data has been analyzed, with the average score of pre-test 5l ,87 and the average of post-test I in cycle I is 60,62 and than the post-test in cycle 2 is 71,04. It means that there are some progresses after giving treatment by using English song.
The using English song can also make students enthusias, enjoyed, and interested. Jt can be seen from the result of observation sheet that shows progress of activities that have been done by the students. It means that by using English song as a media, the students more interested and it make progress for the instructional process especially in speaking ability.
