Abstract
Cooperative Scripting method is a method which attractive and become a world view, this method not only as a concept but also a technique where the students able to practice of speaking and improve the interaction or cooperation of students. In this method the teacher divided the students into some pairs and teacher gives the students a discourse text, ask them should make a summary, after the students have finished making their swnmaries, the students appear in class and take turns summarizing their discourse has been quick and take turns talking and listening to their partner or correcting her/him.
This research is quantitative research. This research was conducted at the eleventh grade of SMK Kartikatama 1 Metro that involve of 28 students as the sample. In collecting the data, used test and docwnentation, meanwhile the data analysis technique used t• test formulation.
Finally, the results of data analysis showed that t-observe =4,566 was higher than "t_are"=2,052 in 5% and "t_aae=2,771 in 1 %. Therefore, it can be inferred that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. It means that there is a positive and significant influence of using cooperative scripting method toward students' speaking ability at the eleventh grade of SMK Kartikatama 1 Metro in academic year of 2015/2016.
