Abstract

Question is one of important part of study English, especially in system of communication. And Wh- Questions use to ask inforostion's and can not answer by yes or no, it is one of the types of grammatical learpir.g and one of the question type. Besides Wh- Questions can imply that the questions make to know some information's in English learning process.

The research was aimed to know whether Wh- question gave influence the stu lents' speaking performance at class VIIA of Junior High School N2 Way Bungur nd to help the students in finding the ideas. Which are from study Wh- questic n the students found many information and illustration in English learning proccss.

Furthermore, the writer conducted the quasi experimental design, by applying pretest and post-test as the data collecting device. In accordance with the method in present research, experimental design, the data was analyzed by using t-test that enable to investigate the differences between the result of pre-test before treatment and the result of post-test after treatment.

Moreover, the result of data analysis illustrates that t observed = 6,961 and was categorized into high influence. Next, 1 observed was consulted to t «ante of the significant level of 5% = 2,030 and 1% = 2,725. Finally, the data confirms t obserne was higher that taste. Thus, it could be inferred that the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. So, was positive and significant influence between the result of Wh-question and students' speaking performance at the seventh grade of Junior High School N2 Way Bungur East Lampung.
