Abstract

This research is conducted on the basis of the result of observation in the Writing subject toward the Seventh Grade the State Islamic Junior High School 1 Metro. The problem found in the students'in making simple sentences. Based on the observation, it needs to be investigated what are the real problems happened in the real setting. The problem formulation of the research are "What are the difficulty commonly found in the students simple sentences at the Seventh Grade of the State Islamic Junior High School I Metro?" and "What the solution to increase the students in making simple sentences at Seventh Grade of the State Islamic Junior High School 1 Metro?”.

The problem the writer had outlined in this research deals largely with the difficulty in making simple sentences. The primary goal of this research, furthermcre, was to figure out the solution to increase the students' ability in making simple sentences at Seventh Grade of the State Islamic Junior High School 1 Metro. A classroom action research was used to approach the data. The writer took one class and consists of 36 students as his sample. The data were collected by planning, action, observing and reflecting.

Regarding to the process of researching, firstly the writer observed them by giving pretest and posttest in cycle l and cycle 2 to the Seventh Grade Student of the State Islamic Junior High School I Metro. After that, the writer analyzed all the result ofpretest and posttest in cycle l and cycle2.

The conclusion ofthe research is after the researchwas conducted, the students' in the cycle I was 63.05% from 36 students' while in the cycle II increased to be 71.94% from whole students'. It showed that there was increased there. It means that the target had been achieved.
