Abstract

This research aims to develop English teaching materials for students of the hotel management major at SMK Aku Cinta Indonesia (ACI) Metro. This is done due to the lack of relevant teaching materials in that major. The research was conducted using research and development (RnD) design, which involves three main steps: (planning, material development, and final results.

This research shows that the textbooks used in teaching hospitality material in the hospitality department do not align with the department. To meet these three aspects, the researcher created teaching materials that are relevant and appropriate for the hospitality department. The appropriateness referred to includes the suitability of the title, the suitability of the material, and the suitability with the students' developmental levels. After completing the final results according to the needs, it is concluded that the material developed in this thesis can be effectively used for eleventh-grade students at SMK Aku Cinta Indonesia (ACI) Metro.
