Abstract

Every teacher have various ability in teaching the students. It depend on the goal of teacher to teach their students. What the teacher did in teaching their students would influence the students' acheivement. The goal of this research is to find the problem solving in order the result of students learning simple present tense is increasing. Learning simple present tense is very important for students. Simple present tense is a sentence which is verb transformation to state the daily activity, habitual action, regularly activity and true fact. The media who used by teacher in learning process of simple present tense at MTs Ma'arif 01 Punggur sometime felt not suitable with the students condition and didn't interest. The appropiate media would make learning process was interest, fun and the most important is the students' acheivement increased. The media in this reserch is using song media. The media would use is to increase the students' learning simple present tense and it could give the solution in learning process and students acheivement at MT's Ma'arif 01 Punggur.

This reseacrh is Classroom Action Research. The data collection method in this research were test, observation, documentation and field note. The observation was employed to gather the data of students activities and the test was done to gather the data of students acheivement in learning simple present tense. The target in this research was 75% students get score >65 then it was compared between cycle I and II.

The finding research showed that in cycle I the students score increased 6,47 from total score, so total average score in this cycle is 62,08, it means that there were 56% from 36 students in this cycle was pass. Furthermore, in the cycle II the students score increased 16,14, so total average score in this cycle is 71,75 it means that there were 81% studentsthe targer had been acheived. The increased score from cycle I to cycle II is 9,67. It showed that the using of song media to increase the students learning simple present tense of the seventh grade of MTs Ma'arif 01 Punggur had been acheived.
